Case Study · Twist of Tradition
Built for local search.
Measured, not promised.
Twist of Tradition by Smitha Bobby is a saree draping studio in Austin, TX. Before launch, her site did not appear in Google Search for her own service. In Search Console in early July 2026, it showed first for "saree drapers near me" — one observation for one client, not a guarantee and not a current ranking.
Starting Point
A real craft, no way to be found.
Smitha drapes sarees for weddings and cultural events across Austin — a real, in-demand skill. But her online presence didn't reflect that: no dedicated site built to rank, no structured local SEO, nothing for a bride searching "saree draper near me" to actually find.
What Was Built
A cinematic site, built for local search.
Editorial design system
Warm, luxury-editorial visual language — gold and rose-gold accents on cinema black, built to match the craft rather than a generic template.
Destination-wedding SEO
A hub-and-city-page SEO structure targeting the actual search behavior of brides planning destination and local weddings — not just a single homepage guessing at keywords.
Real proof, not stock photography
Curated Google Reviews and self-hosted Instagram reel previews — poster → muted hover video → click-to-reel — so a visitor sees real work before deciding to book.
Real Result
What Google Search Console shows.
Source: Google Search Console for this site, 28-day window to 30 September 2026. Small numbers by design: a new local business, not a large brand.
For client sites whose Google accounts are connected, Search Console and GA4 reporting is pulled automatically, so there are no spreadsheets to read. For a look at the full shape of that reporting (impressions, clicks, click-through rate, average position, sessions) on an actual client site, see the analytics demo page — kept identity-masked there by design, separate from this named case study.
